ABOUT
Samantha is a musician, songwriter, and author from North Carolina.

Ever since she was three years old, music has been an integral part of her life. From ages seven to almost twenty, she was part of the Snyder Family Band, which recorded six albums, signed with two record labels, and toured across the United States. During that time, she discovered and developed her passion for songwriting, which she has pursued ever since. She also fell in love with traveling, seeing different parts of the world, and meeting interesting people, all of which fed her lifelong habit and calling to be a storyteller, musically and otherwise.

She now teaches violin/fiddle lessons online and in person. One-on-one sessions with her are available on Skype, Zoom, and Facetime. She has crafted the Samantha Snyder School of Fiddling on her website, which offers interactive video courses designed to instruct and inspire fiddle students of all ages and backgrounds. She also has a YouTube channel where she releases newly recorded originals and covers. She tours full-time with the award-winning country/bluegrass duo Darin and Brooke Aldridge, with whom she has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry 10+ times.

She recently released her first fantasy novel, The Map of Griffyngrein,
available in physical and ebook form on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Lulu.com.

She obtained her bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a minor in History from High Point University, and now offers private math tutoring for students in grades K-12, as well as college levels up through Calculus II. Together with her friend and colleague Morgan Collins, she encourages student success on their platform Numberkind, with the mission of taking the mystery and intimidation out of mathematics.

During her spare time, she pursues projects on her farm, where she has goats, dogs, and chickens; she is fascinated with growing food and preserving her family's history and heritage.
