The Map of Griffyngrein
In 2021, I self-published a novel I had been writing since I was a child. It was a fulfillment of a lifelong dream. It's a classic other-worldly fantasy story with the good vs. evil, rebellion-against-oppression arc, with my own twist inspired by exploring the woods of my home in North Carolina and letting my imagination run wild at an early age. It will always have a special place in my heart. In addition, it deepened my relationship with writing, a pastime I will always prioritize and adore.
Jane and Jason, two North Carolinian teenagers, discover a strange, magical map during Saturday morning chores. It carries a summons from another realm - a call for help. In a matter of hours, they find themselves presented with a choice: should they face a deadly test that may prove them to be the saviors of the realm, or should they try to escape their strange surroundings? Meanwhile, siblings Brian and Carrie Gibbs set sail on a mission to fulfill a centuries-old family promise...but a terrible threat awaits them on their voyage.
